Philadelphia Runner on Walnut Street in Center City is my only store for shoes. They help you purchase the shoe that is best for you and your specific needs. They listen, they ask questions to better understand your needs, they assess, offer suggestions, bring you shoes to try so you can find your perfect shoe. It was with shoes from Philadelphia Runner with the help of the amazing staff that I trained for the Rothman Orthopedic 8K and crossed the finish line on race day without achy feet and without blisters! Way to go Philadelphia Runner! The greatest staff ever! Very knowledgeable, caring, friendly, they really know about running and walking. I feel welcome in the store right from the start! Thank you!

Had an absolutely great first experience here. Got the shoes I wanted quickly and at a good price! The staff were excellent and very enjoyable to chat with. The whole place gave off a great community oriented vibe.

I wish I knew the name of the sales person who helped me identify my shoe size and find me a pair of shoes that feel incredible because he deserves upmost recognition. He identified my foot needs based on my walk and found me the most perfect shoe. The store is welcoming to runners as well as laborers who are on their feet all day. Great store, great employees, super duper fantastic!

Thank you Philadelphia Runner for a great experience getting fitted for & purchasing running shoes. As a fat person just getting into running, I'll admit I was nervous to go in. I felt like a fraud and that I would be dismissed and shuffled out the door, BUT Michael was incredible!! From the moment I walked in, I was made to feel like I belonged there and I got a fab new pair of shoes that feel fantastic. Thank you a million times over. I will definitely be back!

The staff were so friendly, patient, and helpful, even during the weekend and early holiday rush. Running isn't my top thing (I'd rather do soccer and HIIT classes), but it is a necessary thing. I've got a few injuries I'm recovering from too. Stephan (Stefon? SP?) completely understood and listened to my concerns and answered my questions. I run a small shoe size, so they did not have all the options they recommended me initially, but they offered to look in another store to order/ship. I needed new shoes ASAP so I didn't take that option, but it is good to know for future needs.

A truly awesome store for runners! All the best gear and running clothes. I just wish the layout was a bit more logical — it’s hard to tell where “women’s” and “mens” sections/areas are. I think as a shopper it would make more sense if one side of the store were women’s, one side were men’s, and the back was non-gendered (equipment, shoe insoles, etc) Other than a bit of confusion, a great store with super kind staff! 🤩 congrats on the opening!

Walked in to purchase my first pair of running shoes in a few years. Cindy was great. She helped me take measurements of my feet and picked out three shoes to try on along with insoles. I ended up going with a new pair of Brooks and love them already. Highly recommend PR for all things running.
